Conveyancing is a challenging role that can offer you great fulfilment if you’re surrounded by people who appreciate your hard work and reward you for your efforts. This role will see you working with a small, close-knit team who enjoy regular social events organised by the firm so that like-minded staff members can connect outside of work too. This is a face-to-face role and if you are unwell or on leave, a nominated ‘buddy’ in the conveyancing team will also look after your workload - everything is taken care of!

A day in the life of a Conveyancing Paralegal will see you:

  • Supporting a Supervising Director and team of Conveyancers;
  • Showcase your experience / knowledge in the complete Conveyancing process from exchange to settlement – A - Z files;
  • Coordinating settlements and completion of settlement processes
  • Experience in the use of PEXA and/or Affinity (training also provided)
  • Liaising with clients, lenders, real estate agents, banks agents and law firms;
  • Ordering searches and in-house stamping;
  • Preparation and editing contracts;
  • Perform online searches, settlement figures, booking of settlements and file management;
  • Accounts (including invoicing and trust account);
  • Have knowledge of all aspects of residential conveyancing;
  • Competent in drafting correspondence and documents;
  • Develop and maintain successful client relationships;
  • File management for commercial transactions and Residential Conveyancing matters;
  • Lodging documents, conducting searches and enquiries;
  • Sending letters and related forms;
  • Ordering searches;
  • Putting together sales contracts;
  • Opening and closing files;
  • Drafting initial letters;
  • Following up with clients on missing information; and
  • General administration for the team.

This role requires:

  • Minimum 4 years' experience;
  • High attention to detail;
  • Marketing confidence to local agents;
  • Self-motivated with a can-do attitude - you aren't afraid to learn;
  • Client management skills;
  • Proactive and in achieving best results for clients;
  • Process a minimum of 40 cottage conveyancing files per month;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication - professionally articulate;
  • Team Player - this team loves to support each other and truly care - share a laugh while the job get's done; and
  • Ability to work under pressure - time is of the essence but this team is always happy to mentor, train and teach you until you can ace the role!
