We are currently recruiting for an experienced Employment Lawyer at Associate or Senior Associate level to join a highly regarded law firm in Brisbane.

About You

Transfer your skills and experience:-

  •  3 to 4 years PAE across a range of general employment and/or industrial relations will see you flourish here.
  • Well versed in providing sound legal advice on employment, industrial relations and workplace health and safety matters.
  • Provide advice to clients on general employment disputes and related disputes involving non-payment of wages.
  • Sound knowledge of Fair Work Commission regulations, ideally including experience in conducting proceedings, as well as liaising directly with regulators and other tribunals in relation to employment or industrial relations matters.
  • Polished spoken and written communication skills, including legal drafting skills.
  • A collaborative, commercial mindset with the ability do deliver superior client service.

You could expect a huge variety of complex matters advising a client base spanning across many industries, and will include both contentious and non-contentious employment and industrial relations matters. The scope of work will include:

  • Provide general legal advice on employment and related industrial relations matters.
  • Advise on general employment related matters, employment regulations, policy and dispute matters.
  • Review and advise on employment agreements, enterprise matters, employee handbooks and company policies and procedures, and enterprise agreements, including drafting and negotiation.
  • Manage client files and client matters, including correspondence, preparation of court documents, as well as representing clients attending hearings and in employment-related dispute matters.
