The Role:
We are seeking a Legal Assistant who has gained 3 - 4 years experience working within a similar role and can work well within a collaborative team environment. You will provide strong legal administration support to multiple fee earners and have the support around you to provide the highest quality of work.

This exciting position promises a variety of work across the projects and finance and restructuring teams,  where you will be well looked after and grow personally and professionally. This firm has a strong retention of staff.

To be successful in this role:

  • Have gained 3 - 4 years legal industry experience within a similar role or professional services
  • Bring experience as an EA or PA to a Partner (highly advantageous)
  • Strong background in billing within a law firm - must be good with numbers 
  • Have strong IT skills and experience
  • Friendly, outgoing and bring a positive attitude - team player!
  • Polished communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software
  • Thrive working in a fast-paced environment with strong initiative
  • Have experience mentoring junior legal assistant staff

Responsibilities:

  • Diary and email management, including travel arrangements
  • Word processing and drafting of correspondence
  • Data entry and general ad-hoc secretarial tasks
  • Financials - including internal and external billing and reporting and third party invoicing
  • Creating new client matter files, closing and archiving client matter files
  • Liaising with both internal and external clients
  • Reporting and managing competing deadlines
  • Opening, closing and archiving of client files
  • Assisting on projects and supporting the finance team
  • All general administrative tasks including filing and photocopying
