The role:
With an abundance of matters flowing through their doors, they now have ana need for a dynamic Personal Injury Secretary to join their friendly and caring team and offer support to the Practitioners. This is an opportunity to have the autonomy you have always wanted!  This role that will see you focusing in Plaintiff Personal Injury matters that offers variety each day supporting a group of practitioners who are friendly, supportive and keen to share a laugh - they make the office a fun place to be.

To be successful you will need:- 

  • to be experienced and passionate about Personal Injury law,
  • be self motivated and hungry to support a busy team of authors;
  •  you will have at least 2 years experience or senior candidates coming from a similar role focusing in supporting Personal Injury Lawyers.

A normal day at work will see you: 

  • Working autonomously and being part of a collegiate team;
  • Hitting the ground running and showcasing your strong secretarial and administrative PI skills;
  • Demonstrating your ability and keen eye for detail;
  • Digital dictation;
  • Preparation of court documents and correspondence; including TPD claims, income protection, life insurance and death benefits, disability claims and the like;
  • Preparing briefs to counsel;
  • Advanced accurate typing speed of 70+ words;
  • File management including daily filing;
  • Diary management;
  • Excellent Word & Outlook ability;
  • Scheduling appointments with doctors and co-ordinating conferences with counsel;
  • General secretarial duties of a high volume.

You will have:

  • A minimum of three (2) years Plaintiff Personal Injuries experience either as a legal secretary or a paralegal;
  • The ability to communication clearly and manage client expectations; and
  • The ability to achieve results!

The successful candidate should have exceptional organisational and time management skills to prioritise allocated duties. They need to possess excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to concise deadlines.
