  • PEOPLE - to provide support on all employee related matters and genuinely care about the well being of all staff and those around you
  • HUMAN RESOURCES -  to provide guidance and direction to employees and team leaders, plus assist with recruitment across all levels and practice areas within the law firm
  • COMMUNICATION - to effectively communicate with critical listening and clear writing for drafting documents, employment agreements, parental leave etc.
  •  ORGANISATION -  manage tasks with competing deadlines and help organise recruitment from Receptionists to Partners, performance management documents, resolving employee matters plus more!

The successful candidate will have:

  • At least 3- 5 years' experience in a similar role, ideally within a law firm (this is not an essential criteria but advantageous) - relevant experience within professional services will definitely be considered too;
  • A team player who understands the importance that the People & Culture team play in keeping the wheels turning;
  • Strong communication and organisational skills;
  • A genuine interest and care for people and their professional / personal growth;
  • Great collaboration skills with all levels and can build long lasting relationships from all levels (Junior to Senior); and
  • Ideally, a tertiary qualification, but on the job experience will be valued more favourably.

If you are looking for a role that will allow you to be involved in: 

  • A broad range of HR matters - from recruitment and onboarding of new staff through to the retention, engagement and performance management of existing employees;
  • Providing a range of advice on all employee related matters supporting Partners and employees;
  • Drafting documents including employment agreements, change of employment and parental leave letters;
  • Managing practicing certificate and membership renewals;
  • Involvement in coordinating health & wellbeing initiatives across the firm;
  • Organisational strategy, change and improvement; and
  • National and localised HR projects;
